We are a warm and friendly parish seeking to love and serve God and our community
The choir sings regularly at the 10am Holy Eucharist and at 6.30pm Evensong, to support the congregation in hymns, songs and various said parts of the service. A short anthem is usually sung by the choir alone, and during the year there are a few other services in which the choir is more active – notably at additional services for Advent, Christmas, Palm Sunday and Good Friday, plus the occasional choral Evensong. The choir sings at some wedding services, and at some funeral and memorial services, as part of the church’s mission in the parish.
There are about 20 members at present (sopranos, altos, tenors and basses) – a friendly, welcoming group who enjoy what we do and do it well. But we always need more singers. Why not consider joining if you enjoy singing? All ages are welcome, but we particularly need additional younger members. Contact the organist or the head chorister via the Parish Office for more details.
